are we different?

In a way, no, we are not - we're just like everyone else - we are in the mainstream of life, no matter where we live. We believe in living life fully and utilizing all the tools our nature permits. You might not be able to distinguish us from all the other Joes on the street.

We are different, though, in that we are diligent in our quest, seeking ever greater spiritual awareness and skills mastery - we haven't given up in cynicism, despair and disbelief, accepting our lot and our fate. We choose to be active participants in our lives and in our community, when many around us are nihilistic, directionless and floundering. We are picking and choosing the best beliefs and practices of all the religions and philosophies of all times and seeking for ever better and more effective ways...

Don't worry, we won't be the ones wearing the funny hats, though (unless we want to), and no following comets either!
