We are Mosaics

We are many, multi-colored, multi-faceted and diverse in origin, locale and personal mission. Separate and apart we are like scattered broken chards, but when we are as one in a spiritual community, we form a beautiful window, since, among our many differences,

we all believe:

that that of greatness is in us and is everywhere and is ever-present and we are in that of God,

...that we are a part of all of nature and the universe and are not separate observers,

…that the spirit that enlivens us is our highest value,

…that development of our connection with the spirit is our highest commandment,

…that freedom to develop that life of spirit is essential and, therefore, must be sought in all our actions,

…that assaults on the spiritual connection must be avoided, resisted or repelled, for they diminish our highest value,

…that we should adore that spirit that gives life, love and eternity to us all and be thankful for its existence because it gives us all that there is - it is all that there is,

that some law is essential to our social interaction, for it creates harmony and allows pursuit of our spiritual goal unhindered,

…that Moses, and others before and after him have brought us law and should be revered and studied, but not worshipped as superior to our spirit, because they are just men like us,

…that not all rules prescribed by men are "laws", and that real law is universal and must be discovered and promoted, and it is a duty of ours to seek it,

…that protection of our spirit, our bodies, our families, our homes, our friends and our communities follows from our values, commandments and the law, and is a duty of ours,

…that justice must be done and it is a commandment upon us to assure that it is done, to prevent continuing assaults on ourselves and our fellows,

…that we must live among the world and develop prosperity of our own spirit, families, homes and businesses, and seek wherever possible and practical to assist in development of the prosperity of our fellows and our communities,

…that we must be free to choose our actions and that we must always choose with wisdom and grace to protect and promote these commandments upon ourselves, while not assailing the freedom of others to choose their path,

…that we must develop ourselves through scholarship, strength of body and will and work to our utmost in order to realize the potential of our spirits,

…that in pursuit of our spiritual goal, we must join in study and in community relations with others and revel together in our fellowship,

…that if we obey our commandments and the laws that follow from them, the world and beyond will be filled with joy and peace and our spirit will be exalted beyond measure,

…that if we fail to obey these commandments and the laws that follow from them, we fail ourselves, our families and communities and will see the world overcome with sadness, horror and war and the promise of spirit will ebb and be lost for our time…
