the public

The public would not have access to any of the member benefits. It might be a good revenue-generating idea, though, to make our halls and meeting rooms available on a rental basis to the public, especially if they are known guests.

...would not have access to the benefits of membership, but might get a teaser exposure to what those benefits are, in order to pique their interest in membership.


members

[council is drawn from the membership]

Membership may be obtained by invitation of member (or council?) after attending membership development sessions

• must be reviewed by other members or council (black ball?)

• must agree to contribute time, energy, effort and money to the development and sustenance of the local seeker spiritual community

• must pay membership fee or $50.00 (beginning number)

• benefits of membership

members have access to the "members area" of the web site:
  • access to notes, audio and video of public meetings,
  • access to articles of interest on subjects discussed,
  • access to educational and research materials,
  • our findings and recommendations, when research has been done by seeker,
  • have access to our web & email hosting at reduced rates,

members may use "seekers hall" facilities at no charge (or reduced rate) for functions,

members may rent small amount of office space in "seekers hall" at low rate,

members get a reduced rate at the seekers school,

members have access to retreat facility,

members have access to online card catalog and access to / borrowing priveleges to books and internet materials in the seekers library,

members get group buying savings in food, fuel and other co-ops managed by seekers,

members get favored trade relationship with member merchants, through our group buying club relationships,

members become part of a self-supporting relief society (pool for troubled times),

members get a place in the seekers old folks home when their time comes,

members select council,

members involved in invitation and selection of new members

  • may invite guests to private "discussion" meetings,
  • suggest new members to council, or, direct involvment, if on council
