1. The problem

Many of us have felt that the learning of "how to live" and "what to do in life" that was imparted to us by our parents or teachers or religious leaders was somehow incomplete, or even inappropriate. Far too many times we have fallen into situations that were difficult or even harmful to us that could have been prevented by exercising due planning, care and caution. Our problem was that we did not know how to plan or what to be careful or cautious of. Often we have been rudderless in pursuit of our lives and ineffective at attaining our goals because of not knowing some simple ABC's of living.

We have been exposed to some religious beliefs, but in the mix of all the beliefs of most religious practices seem to be some that are truly unrealistic and strange to human nature. We witness now what happens as a result of strange beliefs about sexuality in a major religion and we have observed before religions requiring odd behaviours (or abstinence from behaviours) or form of dress or speech. Many people end up rejecting all religion because of the strange beliefs and consequently can't then rely on that source of education and strength any longer. They are as if (voluntarily) cast adrift in the violent, stormy seas of life with no compass or sail and precious few rations.

In the fray of the big world there are those who wish to take from us our property, values, money, children and our very lives either by street crime or elaborate plots and we are left helpless and exposed if we are but one against the onslaught. People dispersed and fractionalized into factions warring against each other over petty differences can have little effect in building a safer, more productive, friendly, bountiful and beautiful community. When offered the sop of the false community of the nation-state, many grasp for it as the life-saving ring tossed to them. The false education that is then delivered is effective at convincing many that, as Orwell said, "War is Peace", etc.

The unfortunate result of relying on false education used to prop up false community is to see and live the results of poverty, crime, inflation, terror, war, and the debasement of the human spirit to a grasping "gimme" mentality that grabs for all the remaining goods before they are all destroyed by the horrors created by the illogic of the nation-state. One that has relied on this false community and has any sense left is dragged down to cynicism, negativism, defeatism, helplessness and hopelessness and is left with only despairing and weakness about the prospect of creating true community and prosperity.

Sounds bleak, doesn't it? The situation is not hopeless though, YOU are not destined to remain weak and there is no reason to despair. These feelings have been imposed by the inviolate logic of flawed systems of beliefs. You can be guided through to the beauty of true community and you can achieve a happy, healthy prosperous life for yourself, your family and your community. You can be spiritually fulfilled. You need only lift up your head, open your eyes and seek these things. You will find truth, wisdom and you will find others like you - you may find us!
