qualifications for council

 

Must be selected by council and membership	some formula to be determined
communication skills	Of very highest importance is the ability to communicate about ideas with other people. Our ideas, and even our freedom to consider new and different ideas is often challenging to some and it is of utmost importance for our council members to be able to sort through the difficulty others will experience when confronted with our clear, simple messages, even though they may be obvious to us.
foresight	It must be understood that core, fundamental, even radical (striking at the root) beliefs have far-reaching effects. A truly qualified councilor will be able to envision the far-reaching effects of holding to a basic tenet and spreading it among thousands of people, and s/he will consequently exercise their cautious wisdom in proposing and promoting ideas.
level-headed / clear-headed
openness to possibilities
must not have a dogma to push or be a proselitizer for another religion
intelligent
has spend time thinking of these issues/ideas before - has been on the journey
creative/problem solver
dedicated
"diversity" was mentioned	...and dismissed as a driving force. People of diverse origins and cultures, sexes, etc. will have variously been on a quest and we will find each other if we are so attuned.
