questionings

We can't make others change to be exactly the way we want them to be (to make us happier). We can, however, work on ourselves to develop our understanding, skills, and responses to our situations. Our responses may still be intended to assist others in their development, but we can't do it for them.

Any organized seekers, likewise, cannot insist or demand that other seekers must know, must believe, or must act in a certain way. We do, however, suggest questionings (learned from the Friends) that, if taken to heart, mind and soul, may assist another in their development.

An example from the Friends:

The Friends do not say: "All Friends must believe in peace."

Rather, the Friends developed this question from their consultative meetings: "Are you doing what you can to eliminate the causes of war?"

By questioning ourselves, we keep the focus on the things that we can change. The associate we wish to change today becomes inspired by us tomorrow as we seek (and find) answers from our ever deeper questionings...

Some suggested questionings will follow later...
