seekers have found...

... many answers, some of which belied the teachings of the theology or scientific paradigm of the time and for this many seekers have suffered in their time, and we have benefited in ours.

We honor those seekers who have suffered with both our tears for their pain and our joy for the freedom they have brought us -- freedom to seek ever greater things. We also encourage seekers of our day to find new answers to new questions, both personal and private ones, as well as those on public, community issues.

Some examples:

  • Eclipses are celestial events, not punishments of the gods, though many peasants were conned in their day by the preisthoods of the dominant theology...
  • The earth revolves around the sun, not the other way around, but Gallileo had to suffer in his day for speaking of this discovery...

There are, of course, many other examples, which we will present in a separate area as time progresses, but we offer these few to give an idea of what we mean.

We realize there are things beyond our present understanding and these may be due to phenomenon we don't at present grasp, but we wonder at the wisdom of attributing these unexplained phenomena to "paranormal" causes, since, if something exists, it is by definition "normal", even if not understood.

We remain open to explanations for presently unexplained phenomena then.

Our object is to assist in the expansion of each other's knowledge base by:

  1. facilitating access to the knowledge that has been developed to date (this has become much easier with the internet, but paper libraries should still be kept...)
  2. highly valuing clear knowledge and actively encouraging pursuit of knowledge by people of all ages and postions in life
  3. exploring the techniques of knowing, researching, learning and teaching to others

Beyond all this, of course, is wisdom and practical use of knowledge...
